Saudi man beats girl, 7, to death because she 'said she did not love him'

The furious man hit seven-year-old Yara "all over her body" with an air conditioning hose before locking the girl in a room, according to reports.

She was said to be upset about moving in with her father under the terms of her parents' divorce – saying she preferred her mother.

The father, who has not been named, allegedly said he wanted to "educate" his daughter.

The tragic girl reportedly died as he rushed her to hospital in the Saudi capital of Riyadh – just hours before the holy Muslim day Eid al-Adha.
