Re: Vintage
Can't you count Rambo?
Left of centre. Quill, Wolfie, myself.Ben, Lurker, Les, Jules ( who rarely posts now)
Right or further right. Rambo, Didge, Fred, Tommy, Eddie, Vic, Gels, Maddog, The Devil You Know, HT, Syl, Raggs, Magica,
. I could add to that list, but you would struggle to add to the left wing list.

Re: Vintage
Andy wrong as per usual as i am center left on social issues and center right of economics
Lurker is left
Veya is left
Cass is left wing
HT and Syl, Magica are center left and right dependent on the issues, so is gelico, so is Fred. Though the later two lean more right wing
Maddog is a libertarian, center
Eddie is left and right wing on views, many left
So as per usual Andy is talking out of his backside

I really don't consider eddie right wing at all, and I think I must know her better than you, right?
She really just thinks what she thinks and doesn't really worry about whether her views fall into one camp or the other. They do usually end up being rather lefty, though.
Re: Vintage
Okay Andy, time for you to put your money where your mouth is. What are my views on the following:
Gay people
Racism
The Hijab and Bhurka
Gun control
Global warming
Immigration
Eastern European’s in England
Also, never voted tories in my life (nor labour) I’ve always voted......what party, Andy? Do you know?
Also, did one of those online “Which party are you?” questionnaires and was more left than which poster?
I consider myself of no label but I’m interested to see exactly how well you know me.

Horatio, gelico and Fred left-leaning ??? You are truly delusional today, Didge..
And Maddog ? Even he himself would probably admit to being a centre-right redneck ?
Then again, you often label Ben, Quill, veya and myself as rabid "Marxists" when you don't have any better comebacks..

Why would that be ?
Considering that she is one of those twats who occasionally instigates attacks on left wingers on here, only ever copping abuse in return -- and not to start with..

Well that shows you have not the first clue about the political leanings of people
I have never labelled Ben a Marxist
Maddog is again a Libertarian
I said HT gelico and Fred have views that lean left and right but more so to the right
So maybe this is again another sign of the left being blind as a bat

Gay people - no problem. I have gay friends
Racism - hate it. Lots of non UK friends
The Hijab and Bhurka - not a problem, but should unveil on demand in security situations, banks, airports etc.
Gun control - keep them all prohibited in UK,
Global warming - more serious than most think. Verging on catastrophic. Tell Tommy the facts, he is too dumb to even read.
Immigration , Non EU, points based system. EU, free movement. Reciprocated by Europe
Eastern European’s in England .
If they are EU, see above. Non EU, Points based.
Also, never voted tories in my life (nor labour) I’ve always voted......what party, Andy? Do you know? Don't care.
Also, did one of those online “Which party are you?” questionnaires and was more left than which poster? Me? Contrary to the turds spun out by Vic, Fred, Rambo and Tommy, I am just left of centre, more LibDem than hard left. I am a hard remainers. That is why I intend to vote LibDem in the GGE, and remain in a 2nd referendum. I have issues with Swinson, as well as Corbyn, but neither are as corrupt and in it for themselves as Boris, Mogg and Farage.
I consider myself of no label but I’m interested to see exactly how well you know me.

I would imagine that the feeling is mutual, but his posts are lucid and offer food for thought as well as prompting discussion and consideration of opposing points of view.
I thought that was the intention of a forum such as this; not simply as a vehicle for the outpourings of a nitwit with a completely closed mind and a penchant for gratuitous insults.

But you will admit, tommy's arguments are based on unfounded a priori's. I mean, the personification of 'nature' as having a purpose? It is worse than a new religion.

Not all,Quill, not all. I have seen some well resourced and evidently researched material in some of Tommy's posts on, say, climate change. They may well be flawed...I wouldn't know, I'm not an expert and (probably to my shame) it's something that I can't get worked up about, even though I probably should.
That's why I rarely post about it.
So far as my own contribution to this forum is concerned my stance is, I hope, posteriori....been there, done that and have the T-shirt, and that's why I will argue passionately on certain topics.
The general attitude of the Left here is simply to dismiss Tommy as some sort of raving Right wing Neanderthal who knows nothing about climate change....even before they have read a word of what he says.
Love to pursue this with you, but Madam is coming for dinner tonight - and has offered to cook the meal...vegetarian, of course (but I had my sausage and bacon for breakfast in her absence.)

I don't mean to disparage tommy. But he does get himself into loops when he gets into naturalist arguments, such as climate or LBGT arguments.
Nature is no more than chance and necessity, but when tommy gets into his insistent phase he comes down to asserting that nature has a self-evident design, and there is a right and a wrong in nature.
Ultimately, that is the stuff of religion.

You reckon that the left are supposedly simply dismissing Tommy's waffling bulldust withoit reading it ? Not really, Freddie..
Tommy's ingrained ignorance shines through in every repetitive post he spews out on here....
His idiotic rants have been dismantled and proven wrong so many times on here, by Didge, Ben, veya, Quill, Eilzel, as well as my humble self, that it's only to be expected that only rarely these days can anyone be bothered to answer or rebuke his lying garbage..
Hitler was a far-left wing 'socialist' ?
A glacier in Greenland is only 700 years old ?
Nature is "designed" with a "purpose" ?
And above all -- despite Tommy's all-too-obvious lack of both education and relevant experiences -- he still considers himself the sole arbiter of what should be considered "normal" in this world..
