Judgement day...
First topic message reminder :
Do you believe there will be a judgement day for each and every one of us?...
I mean with all this talk of gays and homophobia God is supposed to love everyone right?...
Amd if he can forgive rapists and murderers for their awful sins, then surely he can 'forgive' a person for being gay surely?
I see a few contradictions in the things folk write.
So are we all going to have our own judgement day and stand in front of God, before he decide ps wether or not we can enter heaven?
I think it's nonsense myself like, but I do believe in spirits.

genesis 3:22 " And the Lord God said "Behold, the man is become as one of US"
genesis 18:1-3
so there is more than one god????
genesis 1:26 "let us make man in OUR image"

@HF
You want some Maths,
Ok Well lets start from the beginning, Bible says the world is about 20,000 years ago made by God.
Now take into consideration the atomic half life of materials
Now applying these formulas to the White Carbon marking that make up the hand prints in this cave art.
We can extrapolate that the material to collect the Carbon to make the paint was burnt about 28,000 years ago.
http://news.discovery.com/history/art-history/aboriginal-rock-art-28-000-years-old-120618.html
If the Bible is Accurate how did Aboriginals Put these marks on this cave wall 8,000 years Before god made the world?
Then we have
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2010-05-31/a-red-ochre-painting-which-depicts-two-emu-like/847566
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2010-05-31/artists-impression-scientists-say-the-genyornis/847570
Genyornis is an ancient birds species from using the Formula above we can measure the how old the Bones we have found of this animal are, when anything dies it body starts to decay some materials in the bones take a very long time. The youngest of them in about 40,000 years old. SO If God Made people 20,000 years ago like the bible says, How did aboriginals Draw Pictures of this Bird on the wall?

An exponential decay process can be described by any of the following three equivalent formulas:
where
- N0 is the initial quantity of the substance that will decay (this quantity may be measured in grams, moles, number of atoms, etc.),
- N(t) is the quantity that still remains and has not yet decayed after a time t,
- t1/2 is the half-life of the decaying quantity,
- τ is a positive number called the mean lifetime of the decaying quantity,
- λ is a positive number called the decay constant of the decaying quantity.
The three parameters , , and λ are all directly related in the following way:
where ln(2) is the natural logarithm of 2 (approximately 0.693).

I already gave you the quotes from the Koran that clearly says they are following the SAME god as Jesus.
Muslims don't worship Jesus as a son of god but as a Prophet but they worship they same god Jesus worshipped.
They are clearly the same god. Unless you are saying that Jesus worshipped a God and was son of a Different God that you worship? they are the same because Muslims are worshipping the same god that Jesus worshipped. So do you Worship the Same God that Jesus Worshipped? Yes? Well so does a Muslim.

SO I'll ask again. Do you worship the same God that worshiped by Abraham and Moses? Or did they worship a different God to one Christians worship today?
Yes or no to both questions please.

and the fact that they say they follow the same God as Jesus does not make it so, the mormons and JW'S claim the same and they clearly are not.
many religions use the name Jesus but do not believe the same thing of Jesus...
the bible says quite clearly who Jesus is and was, it says he will save us and the bible also says only God can save us, this is my son in whom I am well pleased, i am the alpha and the omega, all saying Jesus is God...
allah says i have no son, the rules for salvation are different, the koran says to hate and kill the people of the book, the bible, how can they be the same god.

What? I haven't made a statement that requires scripture. I asked if you and your husband worship the God of Abraham and Moses, or not.
It is very simple. You both seem unable to answer- because you know what the answer implies perhaps?

The God of the Bible is the God of Abraham and Moses. So you worship that God yes?

Good. So we're done then. Muslims also worship the God of Abraham and Moses, they call him Allah.
Ergo you worship the same God as Muslims do- the difference being you think Jesus was his son, while they don't.
Still the same God. If you said to me you don't think Prince Harry is the son of Charles you would still acknowledge Charles as Prince Charles. Makes no difference.

Well Looked it up
Adam is supposed to be created in 4,414 BC
Of course this is taking the given numbers and extrapolating backwards.
SO Adam was only 6,400 years ago.

okay then I worship God of the Holy bible .
Which is the same god as the others, but you also think Jesus is divine not just a prophet. And there is a holy spirit (the others never separate them but even Christians say the holy trinity is separate but one)
That is really the only difference here. I don't see what the big offense is unless you are an Islamaphob No one is saying you don't believe anything that you believe Just Other people believe in the same God.

You just dont understand it do you, if muslims claim allah is the same God of the bible and yet the also claim allah has no son , it clearly isn't the same God .

salvation is different, allah has no son, the koran hates the jews, how can it be the same god, the muslims may claim it is but they have to as there is no other support for their koran, in the same way the mormons claim their BOM is a continuation of the bible..

That shows again you have never read the Quran you make assumptions of what some people claim.
How do you explain this verse?
“Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans – those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness – will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.” [The Qur’an: al-Baqarah 2:62]

i'm afraid it is not as simple as you would think, the bible does not mention thhe age of the earth for good reason, it does use a term that means the earth is ancient or beyond a time imaginable, that doesn't sound like 6000 years to me...
you might be interested in the idea that the earth actually underwent two disasters through the bible, two floods, the first actually froze the planet solid as the sun stopped shining the second was the flood of Noah.
the genesis story shows you that the planet was refilled, reopened so to speak...perhaps yu should look in to it.. :D

LOLZ say the guy that follow what WE KNOW FOR FACT is the most modified and edited of the monotheist religious documents.
No Point taking you just keep saying the same thing when it is clearly pointed out the other way. You have nothing to fall back on but a few lines in book and you're reading something that has been translated into at least 3 different languages before English each time it was up to the translator's discretion.
AND Who ever even mentioned salvation we are talking about god here. You have lost you know it, now turn the other cheek and admit it.

Hilarious, no it is not saying that, how do you explain also then if they are meant to kill them that Jews lived alongside and received better rights than they did under Christian lands until the formation of Israel>
Why were they not wiped out if as you believe the Quran instructs them to kill them?

Gobbledygook, people are counting the ages backwards, which brings this date, so are you claiming then man has not been around longer than 6000 bc?
Take your time

Hilarious, no it is not saying that, how do you explain also then if they are meant to kill them that Jews lived alongside and received better rights than they did under Christian lands until the formation of Israel>
Why were they not wiped out if as you believe the Quran instructs them to kill them?
You did not answer my other questions, try again?
So do you think people should be killed for adultery?
The bible says so
Do you think parents should kill their children if they refuse to obey?
The bible says so
Do you follow these commands?
those who were jews, its in your own quote, they were jews they are now muslims following allah, if they are the same god why would they have to convert, they would already be followers of god/allah... :D
it's all there if you look.. :D

people are counting back to the refilling of the earth, before the renewal of the earth, check genesis and its real terminology..lol

Incorrect, it refers to two groups of the Jews: those who were faithful to their covenant with God, until the coming of Jesus; and those Jews who believed in Jesus during his time, as well as those who believed in Muhammad during his time .
The Quran also states this:
“And among the People of the Scripture is he who, if you entrust him with a great amount [of wealth], he will return it to you. And among them is he who, if you entrust him with a [single] silver coin, he will not return it to you unless you are constantly standing over him [demanding it]. That is because they say, ‘There is no blame upon us concerning the unlearned.’ And they speak untruth about Allah while they know [it].” [The Qur’an: Aal-‘Imraan 3:75]
Again if you were correct no Jews would have lived for centuries with them, something you cannot explain or answer my questions, so try again
So do you think people should be killed for adultery?
The bible says so
Do you think parents should kill their children if they refuse to obey?
The bible says so
Do you follow these commands?[

Who cares, I am bringing it up now and Veya brought it up, so you are like smelly trying to squirm out of answering and again you fail to answer the following.
So do you take the bible as the word of God?
Do you see your deity as all loving?

lol.. I always agree with the bible, the bible does not say that, that is assumptions, read the genesis story, if you really want to learn, check the hebrew, use a n exhaustive concordance and you will see something quite amazing, again Job has some interesting information upon the first flood... :D

I have read and in this case done the maths, now you are trying to say the maths is wrong, so the floor is all yours to refute this
Good Luck

Also are you sure?
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God
waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing wherein few,
that is, eight souls were saved by water.
I Peter 3:20 (KJV)
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell...
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth, a preacher of
righteousness, bringing the flood upon the world of the ungodly...
II Peter 2:4-5 (KJV)
