I've often wondered wnat they do with the leftover meds and 'out of date' stuff that's gets returned.

I can understand throwing away liquid medicine, but tablets could be reused I guess?

I'm sure I read, or heard or dreamt (?) that some uk hospitals sent their unused meds abroad to third world countries.

No I don't know for sure.
Pharmacists always say they will 'dispose' of them for you.....that to me means throw away. scratch
