And now it's showing up for me. Yeah, the idea we used to have "human zoos" throughout the West is pretty disgusting.

Interaction with people who are different from us is the only cure to this. When jazz saxophonist Sidney Bechet played Moscow back in the 1920s, black people were so exotic there that some people tried to wipe his face to see if the black came off.

Its appalling Ben and how even worse the genocide is often over looked in the Congo  by the Belgiums today.

OIn terms of percentages of ethnic froups nearly wipes out. They all happened under German colonial rule. The Herero and Nama were nearly wiped out as a people.

I would toss those Belgians in with the French and Dutch --  they all "piss in the same pot" over there, (French and Dutch dialects are their 'official' languages --  "Flemish" is basically a Pidgin-Dutch/French mashup..).

Just look at what the French did in Africa, Vietnam and the South Pacific.  Just as bad as the Belgians, Germans, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese 'conquerors'.


As an aside --  see where that frog-prez Chirac finally dropped off this week --  good riddance to bad rubbish.  One of his last acts in office was to nuke the S. Pacific, for zero reasons other than he could --  19 or 20 years after the previous one..  "May he rot in hell..."
