I love Whittard Tea shop. I bought some really nice Mango and Bergamot green tea leaves yesterday.
Just had a cup and it is lovely!!
Anyone else got any brews they like?

Re: Cup of tea
My usual cup is plain old Lipton black, but I've always enjoyed Earl Grey and Darjeeling as well. I guess I've always kept it pretty basic You can find Twinings and a few other British brands at a lot of stores around where I live -- loose tea, I hate tea from bags!

I love coffees with cream.
Like Ben, I hate teabags and I dislike Tetleys, Typhoo and any of those brands, they taste "stale" and you can taste the cardboard of them?
I like Assam tea.
Really, the more expensive the better, when it comes to tea. You get what you pay for.

Re: Cup of tea
Assam tea for me too... think that's what gives you the ooh in typhoo...
Twinnings is best... got another cheaper one from Tesco brand and The actual tea was good quality but so much less in each bag that you needed two per cup!!!
Brought a box load back from Sri Lanka few years ago, from a plantation up in the hills miles into land from coast where I was staying... lovely while it lasted!!!

Tried Typhoo once, but I might have gotten a bad can -- it tasted stale and sour.

Peppermint tea. Perfect for wind, flatulence and indigestion. After a large meal meal and feeling bloated, sip a soothing cup of it and soon you will have deflated.

If you're bloated with wind and wish to fart to relieve the pain, but can't quite get there? Peppermint tea works a treat every time. Burp!

Hahahahahaha actually I'm really not. Even when I ate meat I liked my salads and veg, so maybe my body is used to it?
Speaking of veg though, does anyone here detest plain boiled veg? Like broccoli and cauliflower? I can eat it but it has to have a sauce or spices of some kind, but roasting it is best.

Re: Cup of tea
I don't get hot water either unless it has a lot of lemons in it.
I like room temp water to drink - and I only drink bottled water as tap water is vile and full of fluoride.
Anything other cold drink, i like ice cold!

yeah but that is for like 50 grams of tea leaves that would make 20 to 50 liters of tea.
On a side note... I am assuming 'wee' doesn't also mean urine in Scotland?
cause 'the wee tea shop' full of pictures of slightly yellow liquid in cups is a little off putting.
